|
|
| I finally got the system to work some what. Problem is the every time the unit comes on it blows the T connection apart. The part that blows loose is the feed to the gauge. I have to pull over and put it back together. So far I haven't had much luck with it. Any suggestions as to how I can keep all three parts of the T together? The gauge uses a very small line and I have no idea how to make the conversion from it to the 1/4" line. |

What kind of gauge are you running? And what size is the line to it?
I've got some pics somewhere I will try to find of my psi gauge install. Went from 1/4 in line down to 1/8 for the gauge. Been running it for over 10,000 miles and no blow outs yet |

I'm running an Autometer Ultralite II. The line coming off the back is very small, almost like a strand of spagetti. If that does explain things I'll have to contact Autometer to find out what size it really is.
Lotsofmiles, as long as I don't use the water/meth my transition from 1/4" down to the 1/8" (?) doesn't blow out either. The second my water/meth comes on line the gauge goes to zero and that when I have to pull over to reconnect it. So far water/meth sucks. Several years old and never worked. |

I'll post a pic of mine Mon or Tue. Thought I had one or 2, but cant find them.
Did you put a "spacer" thingy inside the 1/4 line where it connects to the 1/8 adapter?
the spacer thingy is in this pic. this pic isnt the 1/4-1/8 gauge adapter, but you can see the spacer that goes inside the line just above the white washer, at the top left of the methanol label. http://s873.photobucket.com/albums/ab291/lotsofmiles/?action=view¤t=methparts.jpg
Ive got an autometer psi gauge too. I used a 1/4 to 1/8 compression fitting. havent had any blowout on it yet. |
